Ayton Castle in the Scottish Borders is owned by Ian Liddell-Grainger, a conservative MP in Somerset. It is now being sold by the politician for offers over £3m.
The A-listed building, near Eyemouth, was built on the site of an old country home in 1845 by James Gillespie Graham who was a renowned Gothic revival architect.

Surrounded by 31 acres of gardens and woodland, the building overlooks the Eye Valley and comes with fishing rights on the Eye Water that flows through the grounds.
It is currently open to the public and often hosts weddings and other private parties.
