The Famous Grouse is to celebrate its 107th birthday by filling the world's largest bottle of whisky.

The 200-litre bottle - which will hold the equivalent of 8000 drams - is expected to set a new Guinness World Record when it is filled over the weekend.

Created by Czech glass company BOMMA, the bottle arrived at The Famous Grouse Experience at Glenturret distillery, Perthshire, on Monday from Svetla, near Prague.

On Sunday, the 107th birthday of Famous Grouse, the bottle will be filled at Glenturret, Scotland's oldest distillery.

The Famous Grouse Experience, based at the distillery, is also celebrating its 10th birthday.

Gregor Edmunds, crowned Scotland's Strongest Man in 2002, will help move the enormous bottle.

The Famous Grouse is aiming to take the current record from Jack Daniel's, which set a Guinness World Record last year by producing a 184-litre bottle.
