Malcolm Barclay is the manager and organiser of Cowal Games. STV caught up with him at the start of the day to see how it felt to finally be here.
We asked Malcolm how it felt to organise such an event and watch it change and grow over the years.
“It’s excellent; this is my seventh event now” he told us. “You get a huge amount of satisfaction after each one when you see the changes that you put in place work.
“You only get one shot a year to get it right, so when you make a change and it works it’s really good.”
Malcolm Barclay is the event’s manager – a huge workload for one person. We asked him how it felt to finally be there on the day.
“It’s quite satisfying to see a year’s work come together and actually happen on the day, and hopefully all go well on the day. So there’s a certain amount of satisfaction you get out of it.”
