Ross Ainslie and Ali Hutton are well known within the piping world for their virtuosic talents and willingness to push the genre as far as it can go without losing the traditions behind the music.
Both musicians hail from Perthshire and are former pupils of legendary players Gordon and Ian Duncan of the Vale of Atholl Pipe Band.
Ali Hutton has an impressive list of sessions behind him including with Capercaillie and the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra. He currently plays with trad-rock behemoth Treacherous Orchestra amongst many other projects.
Ross Ainslie is a celebrated piper worldwide, perhaps best known for his peerless partnership with Jarlath Henderson with whom he and Ali make up the Ross Ainslie and Jarlath Henderson Trio. Ross also plays with Treacherous Orchestra, India Alba and many other projects.
