Steve Jobs, creator of the iPhone, once said the device could do anything, except play the bagpipes.
A new app proves the Apple co-founder wrong.
By blowing into the bottom of the phone, and pressing buttons on the screen, anyone can now blast out some traditional Scottish tunes on their phone.
The 69p app has been created by New Zealand firm Elucidcode.
After having a go on the new technology, Domhnull McLennan, of the Newtonhill Pipe Band, said: "It's very interesting.
"As a toy great, as a pub game fantastic. I have spent some 40 years playing the pipes, so it would be kind of awkward to hang up the pipes for an iPhone app.
"You use eight fingers on the pipes, this only uses six. You follow a wee yellow dot. It's a good pub game."
