This Saturday, YouTube sensation Danny MacAskill and his stunt cycling team The Clan will descend on Glasgow to wow the crowds with their gravity defying moves.
Riverside Extreme featuring Danny MacAskill takes place on September 24 and as well as impressive tricks from The Clan, visitors can also enjoy freestyle skateboard displays and parkour demonstrations throughout the day.
To whet your appetite for this weekend’s events, founder member of The Clan, Duncan Shaw, performed some of his spectacular moves in the shadows of the museum, during a final practice session for the show.
He said: “I am really looking forward to performing on Saturday at the stunning new Riverside Museum. It really looks like it is shaping up to be an amazing event and I am sure it will be a big hit with the public."
Councillor Gordon Matheson, the Leader of Glasgow City Council and Chair of Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, added: “Saturday promises to be another fantastic day out at the Riverside Museum. We have always said that the new museum is about much more than exhibits and Saturday is a perfect example of this. It will see some of the world’s top stunt cyclists perform death-defying stunts against the backdrop of one of Scotland’s most beautiful and recognisable buildings.
“Danny MacAskill himself is a global sensation and is sure to attract massive crowds on Saturday. He has an army of fans who will be thrilled to know that they will be able to see him in action when the event is streamed live across the world in yet another first for the museum.”
For the adrenaline junkies out there, visitors are encouraged to bring along their own bikes to take part in the various workshops that are going on throughout the day.
Riverside Extreme runs from 11am – 7pm Saturday September 24.
