Dramatic footage of a lorry getting blown over as it crossed the Forth Road Bridge has become an internet hit.
The clip, which was filmed on a CCTV camera on the bridge, shows an articulated lorry making its way across the bridge on December 28.
The driver loses control of his trailer, which turn on its side. He then manages to get it back on its wheels and continues along the road before it happens a second time.
The comes to a halt before the driver again manages to get the trailer back on the road.
The Forth Road Bridge posted the video on YouTube saying: "The driver of this truck ignored signs stating that the Forth Road Bridge was closed to all vehicles except cars due to high winds on 28 December 2011.
"This clip shows why restrictions during high winds are necessary!"
The driver, who was German, was cautioned by police in connection with the incident.
Barry Colford, Chief Engineer and Bridgemaster, said: "We’re releasing this footage to warn drivers of the dangers of ignoring restrictions. This driver was very lucky that nobody was killed or injured."
The video has already become a hit on the internet, with over 40,000 views since it was uploaded on Friday.
